Bible

We believe the Bible - all sixty-six books of the Old and New Testament - is the divinely inspired Word of God and tells one grand, unified story of God's unrelenting love to redeem His people from sin and death. The whole of the Bible's message finds its culminated meaning in the person of Jesus Christ. All beliefs we hold and all we strive to build our life on are derived from and built upon the inerrant and absolute truths which the Bible and the Holy Spirit reveal.

God

We believe in one God, eternally existing in three divine persons, equal in power and glory - Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. God is the creator and sustainer of all things and is perfect in all He is and all He does. He is, by the nature of His perfect, eternal being, holy and most worthy to be worshipped.

Humanity

We believe that God created all things and we believe that humans, men and women alike, are His peak creation. Created in His image, humans were created to reflect God's glory in all we are and all we do. We believe humanity is made to be in perfect relationship with God and one another. The Church - the fellowship of believers - is the context in which this inherent nature for relationship is most fulfilled.

The Return of Christ

We believe Jesus Christ will return after a time of tremendous suffering in the Church after which He will establish His perfect Kingdom and judge the living and dead to their eternal glory or condemnation. The New Heavens and the New Earth will then be brought together as God wills and we who are found in Christ will dwell in perfect union with God, as we were created for in the beginning, in the perfection of peace and joy and love forever!

Salvation

We believe that sin, preferring and seeking life apart from God, eternally condemns all people and no earthly means can save us from the eternal death and punishment sin reaps. God, desiring to save us from our fallen nature and inevitable fate after death, sent His son Jesus Christ to live a perfect life, die an innocent death, and rise from the grave by His perfect power and glory to take away our sins and make it possible to accept everlasting life with Him. Upon salvation, life with Jesus starts now and lasts forever.
Believers can make the appropriate choice, then, to be baptized symbolizing a dying to self with Christ and being raised to new life. Believers can also partake in the Lord's Supper to remember Jesus' death until He comes again.

A Spirit-Filled Life

We believe that the Holy Spirit is given to every believer to empower a God-glorifying life in which our greatest joy is experienced. This involves living not for our own desires but allowing God to conform us to His everlasting, all-satisfying life. In this new life, we live to testify to the grace of God which the Spirit will guide us and empower us to do. We believe all Christ-followers have at least one gift of the Spirit to glorify God, in cooperation with the Holy Spirit, in the work of the Church.
